L’Academy ha appena rivelato le shortlist con i film finalisti in nove delle categorie che vedremo premiate agli Oscar 2020, tra cui quella per il Miglior film internazionale (nuova dicitura per il Miglior film in lingua straniera), che vedeva tra i candidati anche l’italiano Il traditore di Marco Bellocchio.
Purtroppo, l’opera dedicata alla vicenda di Tommaso Buscetta non ce l’ha fatta, venendo esclusa in favore di altri titoli come il coreano Parasite di Bong Joon-ho, lo spagnolo Dolor y Gloria di Pedro Almodovar e il francese Les Misérables di Ladj Ly.
Tra le altre categorie rivelate, troviamo anche quelle per il Miglior documentario, Migliore colonna sonora, Migliori effetti speciali e Miglior trucco e parrucco.
Vi ricordiamo che le nomination ufficiali agli Oscar 2020 verranno annunciate il 13 gennaio, mentre la 92° edizione degli Academy Awards si terrà il 9 febbraio.
