La versione karaoke (sing along) di Bohemian Rhapsody è sbarcata nei cinema ieri e nel primo giorno di programmazione ha già incassato 150mila euro. Anche chi aveva già visto il film, infatti, non vedeva l’ora di poter cantare a piena voce le canzoni dei Queen presenti nel film con Rami Malek. Il 13 luglio del 1985 al Wembley Stadium di Londra si svolse uno dei più grandi eventi mediatici di tutti i tempi, il Live Aid. Bob Geldof, rimasto impressionato dalle conseguenze della carestia in Etiopia, aveva deciso di usare le sue conoscenze in ambito musicale per raccogliere fondi. Il mega concerto che riuniva più musicisti fu uno dei più grandi eventi mediatici di tutti i tempi.
Al Wembley Stadium si raccolsero circa 72mila persone. Nonostante fossero stati indecisi sull’accettare la partecipazione al Live Aid, l’esibizione dei Queen è stata la migliore performance dell’evento. L’istrionismo di Freddie Mercury trascinò l’intero stadio di Wembley che batté le mani a tempo su Radio Ga Ga e cantò parola per parola le altre canzoni. Elton John in un’intervista dichiarò “quel giorno Mercury ha rubato la scena a tutti“.
