Ieri sera (per noi notte fonda) nella splendida cornice losangelina del Gibson Amphitheatre sono stati assegnati gli MTV Movie Awards 2011, evento estivo mondano per eccellenza che Best Movie ha seguito in diretta per voi.
Iniziamo col dire che non ci sono state grandi sorprese, la Saga di Twilight ha fatto man bassa anche quest’anno aggiudicandosi tutti i premi a cui era candidata con Eclipse, mentre Harry Potter ha avuto il suo momento di gloria con la vittoria di Tom Felton come miglior cattivo e lo sketch di Daniel Radcliffe.
I momenti clou della serata sono pochi ma buoni: la parodia iniziale di Una notte da leoni 2 in cui a essere disperso era un brillantissimo Taylor Lautner (che mostra nuovamente una spiccata vena comica), le clip in esclusiva mondiale di Super 8 e Harry Potter e i doni della morte Parte 2, il trailer in anteprima modiale (anche se in realtà già uscito ore prima in rete con conseguente e consueta arrabbiatura della Summit Entertainment) di The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Parte 1 e il premio alla carriera (MTV Generation) alla fidanzatina d’America Reese Whiterspoon presentato da un Patrick Dempsey più bello che mai e da un Robert Pattinson impacciato e divertente che hanno animato una serata altrimenti un po’ sottotono.
Tra le sorprese l’apparizione di Justin Bieber che ha ritirato il premio come miglior “momento a bocca aperta” (noi a bocca aperta ci siamo rimasti sul serio quando è stata annunciata la sua vittoria…) e il bacio appassionato che il bel Robert Pattinson ha riservato al collega Taylor Lautner per uscire dall’imbarazzo di dover baciare Kristen Stewart avendo vinto il premio come Best Kiss (viene spontaneo chiedersi se prima della pensione si decideranno a sciogliersi un pò…), mentre il momento tenerezza spetta alla piccola Alexys Nycole Sanchez e al suo discorso di ringraziamento per aver vinto il premio come miglior citazione per Un weekend da bamboccioni. Il momento trash invece va di diritto ai palpeggiamenti spudorati (di cui avremmo fatto serenamente a meno) di Justin Timberlake e Mila Kunis (cosa non si fa pur di dare spettacolo!).
I momenti peggiori dello show – dispiace dirlo – sono tutti legati agli interventi del presentatore Jason Sudeikis la cui comicità è stata capita solo da lui e dal quantitativo smodato di spot che hanno reso difficile arrivare alla fine dello show (rapporto 1 premio : 1 spot, va bene che la pubblicità è l’anima del commercio però sarebbe carino tenere conto anche dell’anima e dei nervi degli spettatori…).
Chiudiamo con l’angolo fashion annoverando tra i meglio vestiti Blake Lively, Hailee Steinfeld, Emma Stone, Elle Fanning e Selena Gomez e tra coloro che dovrebbero far causa ai propri stilisti Justin Bieber, Kristen Stewart (che ha sfoggiato un mini abito fatto di spille – strass e spuntoni) e Amanda Bynes insaccata in un miniabito dal colore improponibile e abbarbicata su scarpe assurde e poco intonate all’abito.
